Jesse Peter Museum on SRJC Campus
BCC General Contractors, Inc. renovated the Jesse Peter Museum of Native American Art and Anthropology at the Santa Rosa Junior College. We demolished the obsolete interior while retaining the 100 year old shell of the building, then we completely renovated the interior. We built new display areas with a sophisticated security system, museum-quality humidity and temperature controls, and a clean fire suppression system using Inergen, a non-residue producing inert gas that is superior to Halon, to protect the artifacts such as the Elsie Allen collection of Pomo basketry and the permanent Pomo Roundhouse Model. We also built archival storage, offices and administrative areas for the museum on the SRJC campus.
